Add ons: Paint protection, 3M, leather protection
Do you guys bother with buying what the dealer offer? Paint protection for shine and flaws, 3M clear bra, and leather protection. The latter the dealer explained if a seat rips they will replace it.
I am thinking I would do 3M and tinting after market to save some money. Not sure if the paint or leather protection is a good bang for the $. |

Are you shopping from the Calgary BMW location? If so, I know what you mean in terms of cost. Quite hefty. My sales rep didn't do any movement in price for me. But in the end, I decided to get the full protection package as I plan to keep the vehicle past 5 years.

The vehicle finished production last Friday. It's now coming by train so probably at least two weeks. Should be in my hands by mid-July hopefully. Yeah, got the paint, leather and 3M.

So, what was the ballpark price for these items? I haven't decided yet if my not-yet-in-production X3 will be a 1-2 year car, or a 5+ year car. Driving it will be the decider.

You will still want/need to wax your car and their site tells you which waxes you can use. And I suppose when it wears off you can have the dealer reapply it though I never did. |

The paint protection, 3M, and the leather protection is $895 each at my dealer.
Now there is also the tire/rim protection, and the extended warranty. I probably will skip the extender warranty as I don't usually keep car longer than 3 years although the finance for this vehicle is 5 years. Leaning toward the other three additions, and skipping the tire/rim. |
