Gas pedal pulsation
I was wondering if anyone has experienced their gas pedal pulsating, there seems to be a very light tap every few seconds that occurs randomly.
On my car the pulsation is more noticeable during speeds of less than 40 mph and barely noticeable or gone when higher. |

The X3, like almost all new cars, uses a fly-by-wire electronic throttle. The pedal mechanically operates a potentiometer (variable resistor) which signals the ECU how much throttle the driver wants. There is no force feedback to the throttle pedal. If you're feeling pulsation, it's probably some vibration being transmitted through the floor.
You might try setting the cruise control to the speed you feel the pulsation most (30 mph?), and then placing your foot on the floor near the pedal, or even resting it gently on the pedal, without pushing enough to override the cruse control regulated speed. |

I felt a similar pulsation today when I drove in sports mode but due to the smooth gas pedal it's hard to find out where it comes from could be the road condition who it's felt trough the floor.
