Will BMW introduce the 35d in UK?
Currently the biggest engine in the X3 they do in the UK is the 258hp 30d. Does anyone know if they are going to slot the 35d in or is that the engine line up complete?

Won't the X3 3.0D be quicker than an X5 with 35d?
Possibly that's a good reason BMW won't put the 35d in the X3, it'll beat the fastest X5.

So what's the scoop on which engines for which markets? Isn't the 35d considered "old" now? Still very, very good but not current (is it up to date on emissions/economy?). Is it meant nowadays for markets where newer engines are not homologated?

The 35d has just been updated to 299hp and still 600NM Torque.

I must pay more attention....:-)
Still seems a little strange though, 41HP and 40 NM are useful but it looks close to an overlap. Should we expect the 30D in the same markets as the 35D?

Hmm it's difficult to say. The only engines we have in the UK X3 currently are the 20d and 30d. I think they will add the 28i but thats about it. 23d would be good, not a fan of the 25d.

I think Canada and US will get 35D but that may be it, maybe select other markets. No clue as to when as I don't think any of the 35D cars in the US are using that engine and I doubt it debuts in the X3.
