There is contradicting data regarding the fording depth, the spec data in thread titled "2011 BMW X3 (F25) - OFFICIAL Info, Tech Specs, Wallpapers, Videos, Press Release" stated wading depth is 500mm, but in the manual, it stated no driving into water deeper than 30cm/300mm.
Can someone with 2012 models confirm whether the 2012 manual stated 500mm or is it still 300mm?
I'd say BMW is just adding additional protection so people don't drive across deep water, or maybe they just say 300mm to show the X5 is more capable off road at 500mm.
