I used to be a die-hard manual transmission guy too. But I'd be insane to claim that a manual transmission offers better performance than the 8 speed auto in my X3. When a manual transmission starts to offer better performance, it's time to move on.
And lets be realistic. The last gen X3 was one of BMW's worst cars.
