Our Colorado dealer, Schomp BMW in Highlands Ranch, does an oil change under warranty every year, even if the system does not call for it (as reported by Pvt. Barcelona). I do an oil change myself, "in between" the dealer's changes. This works out to be an oil change every 7500 miles. Seems like BMW's latest 10K mile recommendation is a good one to follow if you intend to keep the car a long time.
