Umm yeah...here's some figures,

Cayenne 0-60: 7.4s ($47k)
Cayenne S 0-60: 5.6s ($64k)
X3 35i 0-60: 5.5s ($41k)

Idk perhaps the cayenne does much better on the track and the 35i turns out to be an absolute pig but tbh how many people are going to go track an SUV vs the amount of people who just race stop light to stop light? Don't get me wrong the cayenne is a nice car but for the price you pay it better be because in terms of performance it just doesn't deliver.

I've never driven the car myself but I have ridden in my friend's dad's cayenne turbo S and man that car is nice, it's definitely the best SUV out there imo. Personally I'd never buy a cayenne unless I'm wealthy enough to afford a turbo; there are just so many great cars out there between the $30-60k price range, why pay such a large premium for a status symbol/name?

On a side note the same friend just got an E60 M5 last week and wow that car is the definition of fast. The handling is phenomenal and loved that V10 growl.

Agreed, materials aside I despise the BMW dashes, too cold and utilitarian for my tastes, I want some bling dammit.
