As with ianfp, my mileage is relatively low, but I was told that the last service I had at 4 years old was quite a big one, and would have cost somewhere in the region of £600. Add this to the service I had a couple of years ago, and the fact that there's still almost another year to go (not that I'm going to benefit from it) and it makes sense.

I've got the service pack on my new one as I just like the idea of having a service and not having to pay for it on the day.
