interestingly enough, i happen to be both a BMW and Land Rover fanatic...
1- the Evoque was NOT designed by the former spice girl... she was only added on to help with the 'lifestyle' products (luggage, clothing, etc) to be branded with the vehicle
2- as correctly stated by ND40oz, the Evoque is smaller than the new X3, and will compete (size-wise) against the X1
3- however, as the Evoque is being labeled into the Range Rover family of vehicles (Range Rover, and Range Rover Sport) and not the Land Rover side (LR2 and LR4), expect to pay a premium (similar pricing to X3 and not X1) -- keeping with the added refinements of the Range Rover.
i haven't heard any concrete info as to the engine(s) to be offered in the States. my guess is that only the 6cyl AWD version will make it across the pond.
