Just on general principles, avoid the cruise control only because you want to vary the engine speed on a new motor. But, I'm betting that with the precision in manufacturing these days, the real break-in is the first 100 miles. Just don't hammer it constantly to the limits. The drive home from PDC in SC is probably all the break-in needed.
