Talking X3 M Sport - picked up yesterday

I picked up my Carbon Black 35i yesterday, and thought I'd post my first impressions. So far I am quite pleased with it. Overall, I'd say it feels refined and agile. There's so much tech in the car with the tech package that it takes a bit of getting used to. It's pretty impressive though. And with DHP, handling even in Normal mode is good. Going to Sport and Sport+ makes a significant difference in throttle response, suspension and steering feel.

Coming from a 135i, the X3 doesn't feel bloated or sluggish, just more refined, more comfortable, and taller. Exhaust note is less aggressive than my 135i but good. Acceleration on the 135i eats the X3 alive, but the X3 is no slouch and is easily the best in the segment.

I used to drive a 2007 X3, and the F25 is faster, better looking inside and out, and a more sorted driving experience in all respects. The steering on the 2007 was perhaps more connected, but the new one is quite good, especially with DHP.

Regarding M Sport, I would have to say that it makes a huge improvement in appearance. Mine was parked next to a base 28i at the dealership, and the desirability was night and day. Love the beefy M Sport steering wheel. The sport seats are comfortable and supportive, and the various M trim pieces make it feel more special (even if it isn't). Power tailgate is cool but wish I could close it from the key fob.

I'll post more photos when I can.
