I am going to be financing the car and want to keep it for a few years. So instead of getting the add'l warranty and/or maintenance plan from the dealer which I assume will be pretty pricey, can I not go another route? Allstate? Statefarm? for similar coverage that BMW would sell?

Any info would be appreciated.
