Remote Radar Detector Recommendations
Fellow FastLaners - I have read all of the threads (I think) on remote radar detector installs, and have just about settled on the Escort qi45 with the added laser shifter package. I still have not seen any post on an X3 install. I am particularly interested in where best to locate both the detection module and the laser shifters. At first blush, I think I can get the detection module to mount forward in the grill, however, I am most concerned with locating the laser shifters. I wonder if siting them behind the grill will cause some performance degradation.
Anyone done this install?
Anyone have some suggestions?
I will be talking to some pretty trustworthy install folks locally, but I cannot be sure they will tell me if the degradation is severe (since they will be selling me the system). Thanks for reading. sam
