On my 05.. I have this random Knock.. When I start the car it runs fairly well for a few minutes.. Then it will knock or possibly miss for a couple seconds then run fine again.. The knock originally sounded like a really bad Vanos so I replaced the Vanos and still the knock persists..

Does Misfiring sound like a metal clanking noise? I believe I have a small tear in the intake boot which I temporarily taped shut to see if that helped.. But didn't seem to..

I've changed plugs as well since I was replacing the vanos and those looked pretty black. Oil levels and coolant levels look pretty good..

I pulled out the DISA and it looks good.. the Flap responds properly.. But I didn't disassemble it..

When idling this occurs.. When pushing down on the gas pedal it seems to go away while applying fuel.

Thoughts anyone?
