Is be surprised if they brought the 20d. It's underpowered for the US
market. They can get away with the 4 pot N20 as it's performance figures are in line with the old 28i six. It might be a four but it feels like a six. The same cannot be said of the 20d. It's a great engine but it would underwhelm the average US BMW driver especially in a car like the X3.
The 30/35d still have excellent economy figures to impress and the performance to match.
