Quick update: I have driven my X3 to the hills of Lumsden, SK and tested its climbing power and hill descent control. Everything worked very smoothly and I was able to go up and down icy hills and even stop mid-hill and start again. Having the auto-hold is of course a great asset. I also tested the cruise control at very low speeds (30km/h) just to see if it'd hold and had no problem at all.

The iPhone cable works but I can't see any album art. I will test the regular Apple cable next. And one thing I don't like is that if I connect the iPhone through the cable, it disables Bluetooth audio and it has to be re-enabled afterwards. If anyone has a remedy to this (better than "don't use the cable") please let me know.

This afternoon I'll try BMW apps in a non-6NR preparation... Just out of curiosity.
