My last tank (assuming the fuel computer is accurate) was 30mpg. This was with a lot of short journeys where the engine didn't get warm - the kiss of death for diesel fuel economy. The short journeys themselves were more like 27mpg.
I'm still only on 1,600 miles. Motorway at 75mph to 80mph can consistently deliver 37 mpg but this is driving most of the time with some thought to economy and the Journey stats on continuous display.
Driving style has a significant impact, having fun in spurts on A/B roads when the engine is warm drops economy to 30ish mpg.
