OP, I think you should count yourself lucky they don't fit.
I had never heard of these. Looking them up, it seems they are something that makes a nice looking rim look ugly in the hope of protecting the rim from damage that would make it look ugly. Seems to guarantee the very thing it tries to prevent!
I used to run 19" rims with 35 sidewalls on my 3 series coupe.....had to be careful,but not issues. I can't imagine my 18" rims with the huge SUV sidewalls being problematic.
