I read in another post that if it's a hollow thump noise, that is a function of the DHP suspension.

If it's a metallic rattle then maybe something is loose under the fender.. could be something small and inconsequential causing the rattle. I had a rattle and after taking it back twice the dealer found something loose under the fender.. don't remember what it was but it had nothing to do with the drive system.
