What modern stability control doesn't use brakes?

And if the X3 used a system similar to Acura that increases the weight, complexity, price while reducing fuel efficiency and reliability you wouldn't be complaining?

I think the X3's approach is probably the best balance of performance, flexibility, simplicity, and cost. That is evident by most companies moving in that direction. Yeah Limited Slip Differentials are nice but they are more expensive, less efficient, and not as flexible.
