If sensor is ok and reset cannot be performed, there is question how car's ECU dealing with those signals.
We'll wait for the ohm readings for old sensors if worn to first alert or more. This will verify my mechanics and other BMW owners sensor design description.

If you have a multi meter would be interesting to know if you induce a current in the sensor
