I installed Akebono EURO pads on front and rear (front with OEM rotors, rears with Zimmerman coated), but not happy with their performance. Initial bite is lacking, and stopping is highly non-linear. I have to press very hard for panic stop.

As much as I did not like stock (OEM BMW pads) for their excessive black dust, they performed so much better than Akebono. I am considering getting back to stock to restore proper braking feel.

I have Akebono ProACT on my other car - RAV4, and surprisingly they work very well - good initial bite, linear braking feel, low dust. Looks like EURO line has issues.
