I'm wondering if this, by conditioning the rubber also acts as a lubricant too.
My ex three and my 550 sedan both do this creaking noise all you have to do is clean the sills without any cleaner just used it warm rag and then wipe them with a dry cloth. Don't use any silicone on it or you will have a problem the squeaking will never go away, just clean the sills.
