I'd not at all picked up on the "bubble" problem with some RFTs. My previous car was a an E93 with Michelin RFTs, I found them to be really robust, no one bubble in 3 years. Whereas over 5 years driving two E46's on non-RFTs I had 4 bubbles, the tyre guys said this was pretty common on profiles lower than 50.

I hope the Pirelli RFTs on my F25 are robust....actually that's my gripe with RFTs - they are too damned robust and uncompliant. I suppose it's all down to the tyre manufacturer and their specific design.
