I recently spotted an option I hadn't seen before - something which plugs into OBD port, stays there and operates in real time i.e. you don't flash the ecu rather the device changes settings on a continual basis.

Also interested in any feedback - hoping that they do more than just cheat on the fuel temp inputs to the original map.
