I did not need to say to take it for 24 hours. I said at least 24 hours. The time scale is irrelevant anyway. I drive a car for long enough (24 hours is normally long enough for my wife and myself) to make an informed judgement on how I will spend my money on a new car. That is since 1962 when I purchased my first one in Germany.

Do me a favour and stop picking holes in what time scale or not I test drive a car for.

Now back to the Original Posters question. I suggest you drive the car long enough to get a complete feel for it to see if you can live with it for a long time.
