I was in the same boat with regards to the hi-fi stereo but I opt'd to spend the extra money and get it. My 2014 hasn't arrived yet but I had a 2005 Mini Cooper S with the H+K Stereo and loved it. My 2011 335xi has the basic stereo and to me it doesn't get loud enough or sound as good as my Mini Cooper. When I ordered my wife's 2014 X3's, for an extra $875 I decided to get it as you couldn't pay a stereo shop $875 to upgrade your stereo - just my thoughts. If I was you and you're thinking about I would add it in if it's not too late?
