2004 X3 3.0 Front Differential Issue

With less than 70,000 miles my 2004 X3 3.0 blew the front seal on the differential and ruined the entire differential. It was like someone slamed the brakes on. $2,400 later for repairs plus rental car for 2 days BMW of North America said that it would do nothing given the Warranty on the car was up. I guess the Ultimate Driving Machine is not built all that well after all. This is my 3rd BMW and will be my last. BMW of North America Customer Service is not sympathetic to their owners after their Warranty is over. I should not expect this to happen on a car with less than 70K miles especially when it has been maintained to BMWs standards. Hyundai's are looking pretty good now with 10 year/100K miles warranties!
