Sort of ignore the 4th zero, think of it as 100.0% and you are adjusting in percentage, so add 8% so it thinks it is consuming 8% more fuel than it does at the moment, hence the 108.0.

Just an update. Thanks for the information, I adjusted mine to 1080, and found it over corrected over a full tank by about 3%. Not to bad, but I would like to get it as close to actual (fuelly.com), so, today I reset it to 1050. I will keep track over the next tank or two and let you know how it progresses. That could be a long while because we are off to India (Goa) for 2 weeks very soon and then after we return we are off to the Dominican Republic for 8 weeks.
