Thanks -- good advice! It's something I've been looking into, as well.

I've done a decent amount of work on cars in the past but it's been a while since I've considered anything as invasive as what I'm learning might be involved with the N20. Is it a DIY for the faint of heart or should I look into having it done professionally? I'm obviously concerned about not screwing things up but, if I'm being honest, I'm also concerned about down time since it's a daily for us and I don't have extra garage space.

The car only has about 67k miles on it. It's been dealer maintained annually all of its life but there's definitely chatter/noise on start-up. Any idea what people are seeing in terms of costs?
