differential to be replaced X3 2010
Hi guys/gals
I don't own X3 (2010) but my friend does and her front differential just went. Her mileage is approx 80,000 km (aprox 50,000 miles) and I am just wondering if any owners had any issues with that as well. BMW rep told her that apparently for X3 it is a normal thing.
Symptoms prior vehicle stop - she was driving and suddenly if someone would slam the breaks, vehicle filled up with the burning smell as well and then the engine just died. She was able to start up the engine but could not drive. No errors on the dashboard and we are not sure about any codes if any came up yet (she is to talk to the dealer in few hours).
