Yes, I noticed that as well. I suppose the body panels don't need quite the accuracy of fit as the doors, because the doors need to open/close to tight tolerances vs. the permanent fixture of panels.

When they bolt down the bod panels they have metal guages to check that the seems are in perfect alignment and the gaps are correct.
Lasers will also check all body panels before it leaves the bodyshop
