The updates made the car better by far, but the death-delay of the throttle, was still present, and I'm just thankful my family, and I escaped being harmed, or killed, and I'm so glad the car is gone.

Yeah, know the feeling.
Had a 2006 3.0d , there we a few times that I had a Birthday while waiting for the Throttle to respond.
Sold it, 9 months later got an 2009 3.0d.
What an improvement over the 06 model. Much better perfomance, goes like stink.
Throttle response is nice and sharp, slows down a bit after a while but then a simple electronic reset for 2 minutes and were sharp again.
