Yeah, I think it would actually be easier to sell a loaded 28i for economy reasons.
If it were between a loaded 28i and a base 35i I would also get the 28i instead. The 4cyl has nice power for this SUV, much more impressive than I was expecting.
I've done the same thing in the past though, I had a 540i and wished I got the M5. I had a Mazda 3, and wished I got the Speed3. I decided this time I wouldn't make the same mistake, and made it work to get a 35i with the options I wanted. Realistically the difference is only a couple thousand dollars, and it's not something you can just change later down the road - it's 2-3k now or never. Just some stuff to think about.
