Jan, my dealers says BMW makes a detuned Euro spec 3 BMW for our country(which i don't buy) so 500ppm should not be a problem. There quite a number of X5, X6 in diesel running on the lower grade diesel. I know is South Africa when i was shopping and test drove for best deal due to my dealer being ridiculously expensive(Euro currency quote) they were categorical you cannot run the X3 on 500ppm diesel. Dunno who is fooling who?
