Would agree, but my dealer quoted me $1500 for bumper+24" hood+a-pillar+cargo loading area coverage.

Elsewhere I've been getting quotes around $700-$900, from highly reputable installers.

I've been debating going the non RFT route, but not sure what I would do if I got a puncture/flat... What's your strategy?

A local tire place suggested the Conti Comfort Kit, but I'm not too convinced.
