Too much moisture in PCV Valve.

I just got my 2004 X3 2.5i, it was certified in November 2014 before I got it. Eventually sludge was building up in the PCV value and the engine head was building up too much pressure and the valve cap bursted and the oil caught fire. so after repairs and a new valve cap and cleaning the PCV valve the engine is still building moisture causing more sludge to build up. I'm not sure if it's just BMW thing or if the car is old or if this winter in Canada really sucks. I'll probably look into getting the valve replaced this summer if it's the problem
