Due to a similar but not as dramatic experience this is why I set my parking brake even on flat ground. While there are many things I rather change about my X3 things such as the e-brake I hope BMW would change in the future. While it's "modern" to have a electronic brake most people are not use to a electronic brake that you push a pull a button for.
