The official length and height of the first-gen X5 (of which one I have) are, respectively, 184 and 68 inches. The conversion from millimiters to inches, if i am correct, would have the length and height of the second-generation X3 at 185.9 and 67.1 inches. Therefore, it is true to say that the exterior length and height is very much similar. So the width remains to be seen. Honestly, if the M-package looks indeed good, and with the top engine being the same as the 2011 X5 SAV. one is compelled to save the approx $ 10k by going for the X3, if interior room is not a huge factor...
