Where do you all think the odometers start out? At zero or at some minus number? My '08 E92 was delivered at the Welt in Munich with less than a mile on the odometer. It's hard to see how they can even do that, just going from the assembly line in Regensburg to transit (train and truck or truck only) and into the building for prep and then delivery in Munich.

For US deliveries, I've often seen a dealer pull a new car off the lot for a short test drive with a customer, so I would assume that cars with higher mileage on them (say, >9 miles) may have been used this way.

Generally, depreciation ranges between $.50 and $1.00 per mile on cars in this price bracket. So — considerations of car virginity aside — the dealer may be taking you for as much as $10.
