From Apple's site: http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD...30-pin-adapter

"This adapter lets you connect devices with a Lightning connector to many of your 30-pin accessories.* Video and iPod Out not supported."

I assume this means, we won't be able to use the iPod interface in our cars to control the iPod on the new phone. So the ability to change tracks etc. using the car stereo goes away, if you are using the adapter?

I guess it would be better to buy an extra "lightning" cable, to use in the car, rather than an adapter for the existing cable. (Or of course, not buy iPhone 5 to begin with)
