Thanks MM for taking your time to look up a lot of test data.
When I had lowered my X4 1 1/2" (H&R), I got surprisingly good results re: sidewind sensitivity, steer into a curve, straight forward stability and cornering (20" Pirelli ZERO RFT:s). Chassis comfort was somewhat compromised.
I reported this on the X4 site, but got no response. Handling is a fairly complicated subject, and - especially in the US - not widely discussed.
I have read most US/UK/D car magazines - but not regularily, and I have a mental picture of eg Car and Driver is looking at handling in a very different way than Consumer Reports. For some reason, I believe the major UK magazines have F-Pace on top, and - of course - Auto Motor und Sport has Macan.
