Didn’t see this until now. Sorry. I ended up just saying “screw it” and had a body shop replace the whole glove box door with a new OEM part for a few hundred bucks. Soon after I posted my question the car had to go in to the shop anyway to repair damage from a someone slamming their car door into our driver side rear door.
