Well I got the intercooler installed. I decided to improve what the factory did

and make some mini-brackets to tighten up the gap between the diffuser plate and the shroud:

As I do in my other cars and truck I'm going to put some weatherstripping between the intercooler and the shroud and some beneath the diffuser plate. Let's air leaks = force more air through.
