My phone (Sony Xperia Z Ultra, OS 4.3) is connected via Bluetooth and music plays from my iPod nano. Recently the car stereo (CIC, pro nav) started restarting by itself every half hour or so after I updated the phone to the latest OS from 4.2.2 to 4.3. It usually happens abruptly when playing 2-3 seconds into a new track, then silence... And a few seconds later the CIC switches to radio.
It's random and not a problem with a particular track or an issue with the iPod. Unpairing the phone stops the problem from recurring.
