Where did you get this 80% statistic? The BTM link above states braking distance is slightly
increased with winter tyres at 20C and at 5C. How cold does it have to get before they get better on
dry roads? I'm not saying it's wrong, in fact, I'd be happier with my investment if I could see more winter tyre benefits
