Mine is same. My 2013 X3 35i (24k miles) only makes clunking noise when engine is off. I have never heard clunking from steering while driving. Suspension (M-sport with DHP) makes some noises when driving over bumps or holes, but I think that is normal behavior?

I have told twice about this clunking noise while my car has been in service, but both times I have been told that is totally normal behavior. Is that really true? I mean the clunking noise is normal when engine is off, but no noises while driving?
