Can't answer your main question as I don't have an X3 (though thinking about ordering one if the smoke around N20 clears and I can get one in time for my expiring lease).
Personally I really like the blue+mojave combo, though I'd probably go with carbon black with mojave. Carbon "black" is really a very deep blue or a black with deep blue highlights depending on how the sun is shining.
