Hi all,
I've recently picked up an early 2013 X3 with a CIC head unit and I've been trying to play Spotify from my phone through the Bluetooth audio option. Whenever I play I get no sound coming through the speakers but it is definitely playing on my phone.
I have tried;
- Turning up the volume on both the car and phone.
- Checked using ESys and it has 6NL coded which I believe is what is needed.
- Updating the software from bmw.com/update - although it seems like quite an old release (upd01008.bin - the docs discuss the iPhone 5 as the latest).
- Tried using an older phone that's on the compatibility list (original iPhone SE)

I'm pulling my hair out now!
