Why would it void the warranty? Does it void when you de-badge? Does it void when you rewax? Does is void when you change grills or paint calipers? What happens when you add a mod to switch on real fog lights? Many go for new tyres or wheels. Making a setting on or off would never void a warranty. If one changes the torque speed characteristics, that's definitely questionable.
Unless it can be proved that the changes you made are the main causes of a failure or degradation of X3, it is pointless to question if it would void warranty.
